Nightstand Redo

I've been on the lookout for a small dresser to redo for my bedroom. I've currently been using one of  these small round tables. But I wanted something old that I could paint and redo, like this, this, or this.

I just hadn't found anything I liked until I went to Bargain Box a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. Best thing, it was only $5! Much better than buying the one that matched my bedroom furniture from IKEA that was way to expensive and not the look I wanted.

The best part about it was the shag carpet on the inside! NOT!

I sanded the paint down as much as I could.

Lots of sanding.

I spray painted the hardware Oil Rubbed Broze.

After all of the sanding.
I didn't take any pictures of the actual painting process. Probably because I was so mad when I started painting and realized the lady at Walmart (who sang "Live like you were dieing" the entire time she mixed my paint) gave me flat paint instead of eggshell! GRRRRR!

Finished!

  1. I always think I will do things like this....and then I never do. It's a cute furniture piece and with a little polyurethane spray paint you can eggshell that baby up. Found you from Holly's blog today, I'm a fellow C-Bus blogger and new follower.
