Baby Quilts for Babies

This spring I had three friends have babies within a few months of each other. In fact, two of them were born on the same day. :) (One was late and one was really early!)

Erin's babe was born mid-May. His quilt was done before his baby shower, unlike his brothers who got it sometime around his 3rd birthday. :)

I found a woodland theme fabric and made stripes on the front in the same colors. It is one of my favorites I've ever done.

Nan-nan with her grandsons. (And Layton giving Roby his new toy.)

Stacie's little nugget was a surprise until her arrival, so I had to make something that was gender neutral-ish. I can't find the picture of me, Stacie and the quilt from her shower (it was taken on a SIL's phone!), but here is a picture of it in progress and then one of Bowie sitting on it when I got it back to add Sawyer's name.

The front has two shades of mint-y green stripes and the back has those same shades of green in triangles. If she had a boy I was going to do the handstitching in navy, but since it was a girl, Sawyer's name is in hot pink!

Even though Erica's little one arrived first in March, he was the last to get a quilt because of his distance in Florida. So he got on his first trip to Ohio! His stripes are similar to the one for Roby, but they have a few different colors substituted and his back is white and aqua print.

Right after our photo together he started screaming. I don't think it was the quilt that made him upset. At least that's what I'm telling myself!
