About Me

I grew up in a small town in Southern Ohio and moved to Columbus in 2003 for college. Even though I miss my family, friends and the slower paced life of my little village, I'm still in the city.

I secretly started blogging during my unemployment phase between college and when I started my first job (2008) as a journal. It documented my boring day to day life, birth of nieces, relationship ups and downs, recipes, decorating ideas, imaginary wedding planning, break ups, vacations, multiple moves, celebrity happenings, etc.

I didn't know anyone that read my blog, but once I started linking up with Kelly's Korner "Show Us Your Life" activities on Friday's, I started 'meeting people'. Since then, I've gone to a couple of blogger meet ups here in Columbus and have met a really great IRL friend (even though we knew each other once before!) ;)

After taking a 40 day break from blogging (and facebook and twitter) for Lent in 2012, I started this new blog to share with friends and family, even though I know some of them read the old one. :) I just felt like it was best to start fresh with this new chapter in my life where I'm doing more for myself and less for others (I know that sounds bad, but it's true. I need to do more for me!) and learning to just love my life as it is and quit worrying about and trying to plan the future.
