Uncle Ed

My dad's brother passed away back in March. He was the oldest of the five kids. I only met him a few times that I can remember, the last being when I was about 10 or 11. I know he called the house a few years ago, right after Emery was born, but I don't know the last time my dad or anyone from my immediate family spoke to him. Sad. :(

He lived in San Diego and I always thought it would be cool to go out there and visit, as I've never been to California before. I remember he said he would take us to the San Diego Zoo, which supposedly is a really cool zoo.

He had been sick for a long time.

My Uncle Ed is in the white pants in the middle. Obviously this is an old picture, because I'm in the pink dress in the front. And my Grandma Wickham (plaid shirt) passed away in 1989.

John (Ed) Wickham, 65, of San Diego, California died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at San Diego Hospice, San Diego, California.

He was born January 21, 1947 in San Diego, California to the late Mary and Emory Wickham.

He is survived by brothers Raymond and Susie Wickham of Wright City, Missouri; Scott and Judy Wickham of Piketon, Ohio; Bruce and Carol Wickham of St Louis, Missouri; and sister Robin and Gary Keller of Jackson, Ohio.

Words can’t express enough gratitude for George and Cindy Driver. We are so thankful for the love and support they showed our brother during this time.

Ed was a US Navy Veteran and burial will take place in San Diego, California
